The main object of my invention is to so construct a torpedo that just prior to the explosion the explosive will be delivered from the hull and the hull removed from close proximity thereto.

To the end named the invention consists, essentially, of a torpedo-hull formed with an open-mouthed chamber adapted to receive an explosive-carrying case, a means of holding the case within the chamber, and a tripping mechanism
