The inquest into the death of Mr. Matthew Blank, the engineer assistant torpedo instructor, who was killed by an explosion on board Her Majesty's ship Vesuvius, on the 21st of June 1876 was held at Haslar and presided over by the county coroner Mr. E. J. Harvey.
