The second experiment in the series on the Oberon was conducted on the 21st of August 1874. The results of which differed only in degree rather than character from those obtained at the longer distance of 100 feet. It was proposed to conduct a third experiment if the Oberon was found to be still in good condition after the second experiment. Ellis #147.
