- Abstract
An overview of Colonial Defences drawing attention to the fact that in these long under-valued colonies the United Kingdom possessed the means of docking, repairing, and refitting as well as re-manning her war vessels thus enabling them soon after an engagement to sally forth as well prepared for battle as when they left the shores of Britain.
