It was reported in the The Scientific American that a pneumatic dynamite gun had thrown 100lb. of explosive gelatine a distance of nearly two miles. The 60ft. barrel was made of half inch thick iron lined with one sixteenth of an inch of brass. See also Accession No.2673.
