"… the fear, or perceived fear, of physical violence or harassment is a common reason why a person chooses to engage the services of a Close Personal Protection officer. However, while it might be the job of the CCP officer or 'bodyguard' to physically protect the safety of a client, any well-rounded protection strategy will include a number of defensive arrangements encompassing both physical and non-physical barriers to attack. In creating a protection strategy, the law can provide some valuable non-physical protection methods which may be useful in preventing an attack, or at least providing a client with some degree of psychological reassurance."
