Day, Summers, and Co., of the Northern Iron Works, at Southampton, for Lord Howe was fitted with Day, Summers, and Co.'s 20 in. by 40 in. by 24 in. stroke, 60 nominal horse power compound engines operating on steam supplied at 65 pounds per square inch.
