- Abstract
"My invention relates particularly to submarine vessels, and especially to submarine torpedoes, propelled by a motive agent contained within them and steered and controlled from the shore or other place or vessel. Its object is to preclude the fouling of the cable with the rudder or propeller-wheel as it is paid out. To this end it consists in a torpedo vessel having a pipe or tube for the cable connected with the cable-coil chamber and extending beyond or aft the rudder and propeller-wheel."
