Abstract

The large torpedo boat Ghelendjick (length 121 feet 5 inches, beam 12 feet 4 inches, draught 6 feet, displacement 71 tons; speed 18 knots) was fitted with a 15.35-inch by 25.20-inch by 14.17-inch stroke inverted vertical compound engine operating on steam supplied at 121 pounds per square inch by a marine locomotive boiler, armament; two 15-inch diameter torpedo tubes, and two Hotchkiss revolving guns, built by the Forges et Chantiers de la Mediterranee at their La Seyne works for the Russian Government.
