- Abstract
The eight French, steel, seagoing, twin screw torpedo boats (length 193 feet 6 inches, beam 19 feet 8 inches, draught 10 feet 6 inches, displacement 395 tons; speed 18 knots), armament; four 47-millimetre quick-firing guns, three machine guns, and two torpedo tubes, of the Bombe class were the; Bombe, the Couleuvrine, the Dague, Dragonne, the Fleche, the Lance, the St. Barbe, and the Salve. All of these boats with the exception of the Salve were completed in 1885, the Salve having been launched the following year.
