Abstract

A first-class torpedo boat (length 130 feet over all, beam 14 feet; depth 8 feet (moulded) fitted with a 1000 horsepower inverted-vertical triple-expansion marine engine operating on steam supplied at 170 pounds per square inch by a marine locomotive boiler, designed and built by Messrs. Hanna, Donald, and Wilson, Paisley on the River Cert, a tributary of the Clyde was handed over to representatives of the Indian Government in late October 1889.
