His Majesty's torpedo boat destroyer Vulture (length222 feet 3 inches, overall, 218 feet between perpendiculars, beam 20 feet, draught 8 feet 3 inches; displacement 345 tons, light, 385 tons full load) returned to Portsmouth in mid-October with buckled decks after being caught in heavy seas outside the Needles. The buckling was confined to the upper deck and fortunately the keel plate was not broken.
