- Abstract
The official trial of the torpedo boat Pangrango (length 153 feet overall; displacement 140 tons) built by Yarrow and company, Limited, Poplar, for the Dutch Government, was held on the 30th of April 1901. The trial consisted of a three hour full-speed run at the mouth of the Thames. The mean speed maintained with a load of 30 tons was 25.99 knots, with an air pressure of 1.5 inches of water gauge in the stokehold.
