The destroyer Framee lost on the 11th of August 1900 was one of four ships almost identical to the Durandal except that their nominal horsepower was 5,700 against 4,800 in the earlier boat. The nominal speed of the Framee was 27 knots, and she had four funnels instead of the two of the Durandal.
