- Abstract
The torpedo boat Stringham (length 225 feet, beam 22 feet, draught 6 feet 6 inches; displacement 340 tons) fitted with twin 7,200 indicated horsepower (total) inverted-vertical triple-expansion marine engines with steam supplied by four Thornycroft water-tube boilers, built by Messrs. Harlan and Hollingsworth, for the Government of the United States of America, was launched on the 10th of June 1899.
