- Abstract
The torpedo boat Kigyo (length 46.5 metres, beam 4.7 metres, draught 2.3 metres; displacement 132 tons) built by Yarrow and Company, Poplar, for the Imperial and Royal Austro-Hungarian Government underwent a trial trip under sea-going conditions on the 15th of March 1899. The Kigyo attained a speed of 24.3 knots with her bunkers full, and armament on board.
