- Abstract
The torpedo boat Boa (length 152 feet 6 inches, beam 15 feet 3 inches; trial speed 24.265 knots), fitted with a 18-inch by 26-inch by 39 and a half inch by18-inch stroke, 200 nominal horsepower triple-expansion marine engine operating at 340 revolutions per minute, with steam supplied at 180 pounds per square inch by two Yarrow water-tube boilers with a grate area of 35 square feet, and a heating surface of 1,868 square feet in each boiler, built by Yarrow and Company, Poplar, for the Austro-Hungarian Government. Armament, three 18-inch torpedo tubes and two three-pounder quick-firing guns.
