- Abstract
The torpedo cruiser Fei Ying (length 246 feet, beam 28 feet 4 inches, draught 13 feet; displacement 850 tons) built by the Vulcan Company, Stettin, for the Chinese Government, underwent a four-hour full speed trial, during which she attained a speed of 22 knots, with the engines indicating 4,500 horsepower. Eight Yarrow water-tube boilers with straight tubes produced steam for the engines.
