The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs received a copy and translation of an advertisement announcing that the Ladies Branch of the Norwegian Defence Committee was inviting tenders for a 350 to 400 tons displacement torpedo-catcher; tenders were to be submitted by the first week in May 1895.
