The torpedo boat destroyer Hasty (length 195 feet, beam 18 feet 6 inches; draught 7 feet 3 inches) built and engined by Yarrow and Co., Poplar, was successfully launched from their shipyard at Poplar, with the engines fitted on board. The Hasty was one of three destroyers being built at the time for the British Government by Yarrow and Co.
