- Abstract
Two torpedo gunboats the Almirante Condell and the Almirante Lynch (length 240 feet, beam 27 feet 6 inches, depth 14 feet, draught 8 feet forward by 11 feet aft, displacement 750 tons; trial speed 20.313 knots) built by Laird Brothers for the Chilean Government were fitted with two 22-inch by 33-inch by 49-inch by 21-inch stroke, 4,275 indicated horsepower inverted-vertical triple-expansion marine engines operating at 270 revolutions per minute with steam supplied at 155 pounds per square inch by four marine locomotive boilers.
