- Abstract
A correspondent for The Times writing from Hamburg reported that the construction of sixteen additional sea-going torpedo boats for the Imperial German Navy had been entrusted to Schichau's shipbuilding yard at Elbing. These boats were to be equipped with torpedo tubes and armed with machine guns. It was also estimated that their 1,500 indicated horsepower engines would be capable of propelling them at speeds in excess of twenty-three knots.
