Abstract

The steam yacht Now Then (length 86 feet overall, 81 feet at the waterline, beam 10 feet, draught 38 inches, displacement 19 tons net; trial speed 23.2 miles per hour), was fitted with a seven and a half inch by twelve inch by nineteen inch by ten and a half inch stroke, triple-expansion condensing marine engine operating with steam supplied at 250 pounds per square inch by a Herreschoff safety boiler; built by the Herreschoff Company for Mr. Norman Munro of New York.
